Logitech Mouse acceleration (smoothMouse)

Does anyone here use SmoothMouse on their Mac? I bought a logitech g302 mouse for my Mac. When I plugged it in it was really slow, even with the mouse acceleration all the way up. Research lead me to download and install SmoothMouse. It did the trick and works %90 of the time. But every so often ill wake up my mac and the mouse will be either annoyingly slow (though, not as bad as without SmoothMouse) or it will be zippy-fast. Even thought both the mac and the SmoothMouse settings haven't changed.
