Logitech MX Anywhere 2 lags over bluetooth, not with wireless usb

So just got this new wireless mouse. The mouse works perfectly fine when linked with the wireless USB dongle. However when linked to bluetooth it lags horribly. Any solutions?

I've given up on BT on my Mac Pro. I am now using a Logitech Performance MX wireless mouse. See my BT comments here:
