I have a Logitech MX Master 2S. It's a really nice mouse, hardware wise--finally a worthy successor to the MX Revolution.
I have it connected via Bluetooth to a 2018 MBP running 10.14 and the latest Logitech Options driver installed. Customized all the buttons, Flow is off, no application-specific settings are enabled.
It works beautifully about 75% of the time. Then, for absolutely no apparent reason, the driver will crash or flake out or something, and all my custom settings will be completely ignored. The buttons don't even go to default behavior, they seem quite random; for example, both the "back" and "forward" buttons do what appears to be a command-shift-click or third-button click (opens links in a new tab in Safari but acts like a normal click in most other apps), and the thumb button is tab.
Once this happens, the only way to fix it is either log out and back in, or wait about 12 hours and it will randomly start working again. Usually.
Turning the mouse off and back on doesn't help. Disconnecting and reconnecting it doesn't help. Opening the Logitech Mouse prefs and changing a button customization does nothing. Soft-quitting or force-quitting "Logitech Options Daemon" does nothing (it respawns automatically but the wrong behavior is still present).
This has been happening since I bought the thing, has persisted through multiple OS and Logitech version updates, and is really, really annoying.
Is this a known issue? Suggestions for how to get it working again without logging out?
As has been the case for well over a decade, Logitech makes great hardware but their drivers are so awful it's barely usable.
