This is one of those "feel" problems that's hard to explain clearly, so I hope I make sense.
I use a Logitech MX Revolution as my standard mouse, and love it. I previously used a MX500, which I also liked a lot.
I recently got a MX1100 for my desktop, because my wife prefers its shape, but I don't love it. Specifically, it seems "jumpy" versus the smooth tracking of both of the other mice. I'd describe it as feeling like the sensor is lower resolution than what I'm used to.
At first I thought it was just because the screen was bigger or maybe I had the settings wrong, but after a bunch of fiddling with settings it still feels weird, particularly with fine motion--WAY twitchier than my other mice. I haven't managed to find a setting where I can easily track with enough precision to put the cursor between two letters accurately without it taking way, way too much motion to get the pointer across the screen.
Can anybody else with experience with the MX1100 tell me if it just has a cheaper sensor than what I'm used to, or, if not, have any good suggestions for combination of Logitech's speed multiplier and the Mouse prefpane's setting?
