Planning to get the Logitech Performance Mouse MX.

Does it work with OS X Yosemite? Been reading complaints that the Logitech Control Center, used for mapping the buttons, doesn't work with OS X Yosemite.

I've only encountered a few complaints so I don't know if it's just an isolated case.

Any input will be appreciated.

Thanks in advanced.

Don't bother with the Logitech Control Center software.

Use something like "USB Overdrive" instead...

Once I updated to the latest version of LCC, my mouse worked great, like it did on Mavericks. I found that I hadn't updated the LCC in several years! I was 3 or 4 versions behind.

So, it's okay to get the mouse and map the buttons without the use of Logitec Control Center? i.e, using a workaround like USB Overdrive?

Thanks again

I use the LCC and the buttons map just fine. I don't know anything about using other software for it.
