I was at bestbuy and target and heard two different ones....they sounded decent. I got the altec lansing imt712 off ebay , theres oddly a lot of sellers with open box ones going for like 70-100 shipped. I decided since its meant to work with the iphone and gets good reviews for sound that I would go for it.
Im not sure about its asthetics appeal, should be arriving today for me. I did a lot of research on the iphone compatible ones and this one seemed to get good sound reviews. At the store though the buttons were a bit touchy / un-responsive. Not sure if this was the unit at the store or not being some sort of abused demo or return.
But didnt really get into the sound portion. Honestly I think most of them all sounded pretty good , just different (one more bass , another more highs). I think next time around im just going to go for looks and options rather than sound.
