Please help a Mac newbie. I’m having bad luck installing and using a Logitech Quickcam Pro 4000 on my Mac Mini under Leopard 10.5.1.

I went to VersionTracker.com and downloaded Logitech QuickCam.dmg vers. 8.0.1.
I ran the .dmg file and it installed QuickCapture.app/
I plugged in the camera and ran QuickCapture.app.

The application found the camera and I was able to change the screen size from 320x240 to 640x480. After a couple of minutes the QuickCam screen loses its picture and the window turns blue; a pop-up window says, “An unexpected problem has occurred. (gpc:706).” Sometimes I get a spinning beach ball and have to do an opt-cmd-Esc to quit the application.

I erased the .dmg and .app files; did an new download and install. Got the same results.

I’d sure appreciate any help, ideas, etc. that you may have.

Thanks,
-Nick T.

Try this. It worked for my wife's Qcam on her Mini running Leopard.
