Logitech software

i have just brought a new logtech vx revolution mouse. after reading the instructions it said to download logitech control centre. so i did so and installed but now that it is installed my macbook c2d 1 gig ram seems to be running very slowly and sometimes crashes i was wondering if this was the logitech software?
is anyone else is having this problem?

I have a problem of it takeing a long time to start up. but then it runs fine.

yeah mine also takes a while to upload as well.

i have just uninstalled the software now my macbook is fine
