Hey, I bought a Logitech C920 for my mac running OS X 10.10.5. The C920 is not advertised as being supported on the mac, and there's no Logitech software for it on OS X, but it currently functions in Photo Booth, FaceTime, etc.
However, the image quality is not as good as I hoped. I don't know if it's the lighting in my room, or the webcam, but it doesn't look as crisp as I expected for a 1080p device, or even 720p. Is FaceTime's "preview" not full-res?
I tried taking a photo in Photo Booth to see the quality, but it looks very low-res, as well. The file size was only 75KB. That seems too small to be capturing an HD image. Is Photo Booth limited to low resolution?
I tried the C920 on a Windows computer and used Logitech's "Quick Capture," and the photo size was more around 800KB
I'm just trying to figure out if the webcam is operating at full resolution/quality and compare a camera snapshot taken on Mac versus Windows
