Hello I have bought logitech speakers for my imac. The speakers come with two front speakers two rear sattelite called speakers, a center, and a sub. I have it hooked up correct but i am only getting sound from the front two speakers and the subwoofer. Nothing coming from the rear two and the center. Its a imac 2.4 ghz. Someone good at sound equipment to chip in some advice? thanks!

The iMac only has a stereo analog audio out. To get surround sound, you need to use the digital out or get an external USB sound card, that provides 5.1 audio out.

my logitech x530's speakers ALL work even with just music playing. i use the adaptor that came in the box, which acts as some sort of switch to give all speakers the signal to play music. did you use that?

yes i do have the dapter there were three cables to plug in i took the green one plugged in into the back of the imac and the speakers work with the exception of the center and rear two where do the other two plug into?

i guess i have to get a usb audio card out to use all the speakers? Can i buy this at radio shack or some place simillar?

bumpppp
i bought a creative sound blaster i have hooked the three cables up coming from my main speaker 3.5mm cable to the creative unit but no sound what to do????

you are doing it wrong. The adaptor that comes with the speakers works fine. Have a play with it....
