Will the z-2300 hook right up to my macbook with an RCA adaptor cable, or will I need a usb sound card of some sort. Also (if anybody knows this), how can I have both my macbook and my xbox 360 hooked up to the speakers, andthen switch between the two?

I am setting up my 360 and MBP like you are, and what I did was bought an RCA to 3.5mm jack that will allow me to plug the RCA cables from my xbox into. As long as the speakers you are buying have some sort of Aux input you should be able to do this. As for the computer, the speakers will just have the 3.5mm cable to plug into the computer.
