I downloaded this app months ago because I thought it sounded interesting. I deleted it after experimenting and now the icon is stuck in my menu bar. I've tried many things. I opened up activity monitor and noticed the app was running so I deleted it and then it re-appears. I can't drag the icon off either.

go to system preferences, users + groups, login items for your account - is logmein in that list?

Have you tried the following:

Best way to FULLY DELETE a program without the need of any additional, inefficient applications

Wow, that worked! well, almost. I deleted everything but one thing because it wouldn't let me. I get a message that says: '' The operation cannot be completed because the item ''LogMeInGUI'' is in use. I think it's because the the icon is still in the menu bar?

Does the LogMeIn icon not have a QUIT command? Does it also happen in another, even temporarily created, user account?
Have you tried this before doing it manually?

Step 1 of those instructions tells you to kill any app-related processes before attempting to delete anything.

Awesome, it's finally gone! I decided to see if it'll let me delete what was running in Activity Monitor without it coming right back and it worked this time. Thanks for the help guys!
