Please look at the model numbers for the 2011 13.3" Macbook Pro ... I believe the i5 and i7 model numbers are switched.

I am asking because I am trading in my old Macbook Pro (just got a new one) and I want to make sure I get the model number correct.

I just checked my model number on the box that came with my i5, it seems that model number is MC700LL/A ... Every online retailer seems to agree with me. However, Apple is claiming that the model number is MC724LL/A

Can anyone confirm if this article is wrong? I'm trying to be honest and not trade in the wrong model (even though it'll net me more money).

Yes it's the wrong way around.

MC700X/A is the entry level 2011 13" with the i5.
