So I just replaced the hard drive in my Lombard with an mSATA SSD, using the DeLOCK 62495 adapter. mSATA SSD used is Transcend MSA230S.

Everything seems fine, open firmware can read the drive etc..

except the second IDE controller doesn't power on correctly.

By which I mean, no device shows up on ide1, register writes to ide1 seem to get dropped, every register reads as zero.

Has anyone else had this issue? I bought the DeLOCK 62495 because it is known to work with lombard...

The IDE optical drive in the media bay is a TS-L462, the original CD drive was having trouble reading discs so I replaced it with this one.

I just wrote to the FCR under OF shell to power off ide0 and suddenly ide1 comes on..? Still not exactly helpful, but what?!
