Curiosity got the best of me and I drove past our local Apple store (Deer Park, IL) about a half hour ago... there's already about 150 people camped out!!! Craziness!!! People are probably freaking out since AT&T isn't launching the iphone until next week. After the whole clusterf*** of the past week, for once I'm glad I preordered.

Damn, I figured Deer Park would have given someone a shot. Woodfield must be a friggin zoo.

Not sure what you are talking about with ATT? They are launching it tomorrow. They called me today saying my iPhone is there for pickup.

AT&T stores will only have enough for pre-orders tomorrow...no extras for walk-in sales until next Tuesday.

Yeah, they have it for people who preordered (I'm picking mine up tomorrow, too) but those who didn't have to wait until the 29th.

Asked a friend to see if there was a line outside AT&T near my house. She said no line so far.

6:25pm - Kapolei, Hawaii

Where do they wait at Woodfield??? Are they allowed inside?? I've never experienced an Apple product launch before, so I really have no clue how these things go about.

I wonder what the crowd looks like at the Apple near the Mall of Georgia. Someone can feel free to post a shot, cause I don't have the time to drive by there.

Outside I believe. Lucky for them the weather has broken.

Deer Park is my local store also. I stopped by around 5:30pm to see if they were selling bumpers yet, and there were already about 10 people waiting. I snapped a pic of half of them + the cots, tarp, picnic table etc.

Went by the Valley Fair store in Santa Clara/San Jose around 7:45PM and there were probably 100 people already in line. At least the mall was allowing them to stay overnight.

Wozniak seems to show up to the VF store on big launches in the morning. Jobs sometimes shows up at the PA store.

Of course, I took photos with my 4. I sent them to a couple friends who preordered and comments were "sad" and "crazy."
