Long Opening Times For Apps...

I always thought it took a long time to open applications on my macbook, for example on safari it jumps at least 10 times before opening. I really noticed the problem when I went to the apple store today and played with the macbooks and noticed that most of the apps open on 1 or 2 bounces. Is there something wrong with my computer or are the ones in the apple store just really fast.

if you own a macbook that takes that long it must be a 512mb of ram version you have there -

try repairing permissions or maybe rebooting - but get more ram if poss - that does not always mean quicker just you can have more open

yea i got mine in november, but it still doesn't seem like it should take that long. What do you mean by repairing permissions?

spotlight for disk utility and select your HDD and repair them old permissions
