Particularly with some of the photos from the retina photos thread in this forum and other very high-resolution photos, there seems to be a long rendering time for the photos in which originally the photo is very pixelated and it takes a few seconds (about five or so) and then becomes very clear (as it should be).

Is everybody else experiencing this? If so is there a way to fix this (perhaps a different app that's better at rendering) or is it just something that will happen with this iPad when rendering very high resolution images?

Thanks

Note: the slideshow in the photos app also has this issue where the image cannot be rendered completely went first viewed and reaches full clarity in a few seconds. However on the lock screen there is no issue: the photos are rendered completely immediately upon being viewed when in a slideshow.

I believe this might be because 2048x2048 photos in the slideshow on the lock screen are not actually shown in full resolution, but rather in a slightly lower resolution.
