Long videos on the Tube?

I have seen videos over 40 minutes on YouTube, someone even uploaded the WHOLE OF I AM LEGAND BEFORE ITS RELEASE! But when I try and upload my 20 minute South Park thing it says its too long! I read this thing that said I had to make my account a "Director" so I did and it still dosent work!!!

Any help?
