Hello

I purchased a Huawei Mateview 28" 4K display few days ago and it's been working fine with the included 3ft USB-C cable.

Now I want to use a longer cable with it. I tried several 6ft USB-C cables but I only get charge in my MacBook Pro and no video. I also tried several short USB-C cables and all of them work fine.

I thought that buying a 6ft Thunderbolt 4 cable (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09KSV96DK) would make the trick but it didn't work either.

Has any of you successfully used a longer cable with this display and any Mac computer?

I'm considering this one from Cable Matters but I'm starting to think that this couldn't work either (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B084Z65YJQ)

Thanks

You need a Thunderbolt cable rather than a usb one. Same connector, different internals. I ordered a longer cable for my Studio Display and went for a TB4 one from Caldigit. Its about half the price of the Apple one and has similar specs.

There's a few out there from companies like them and OWC. Just compare the specs with a similar Apple one before you order if you're in any doubt.
