Apple Music randomly stops playing music when playing any non-preset list of songs, like My Station, Discovery, or when it gets to the end of a playlist then starts auto-playing tracks after that. Sometimes I have to hit the play button again, other times I need to quit the application and open it again.

I have been experiencing this issue on MacOS since at least when I had my 2019 i9 16-inch MBP. This issue has happened on that machine, a M1 MBP, and now my M3 MBP. I have seen it across all versions of MacOS, both stable and developer betas. It continues to happen after wiping the OS, clearing the music cache, re-syncing my library, regardless of Dolby/lossless settings, etc.

I do not experience this issue at all on any iPhone or iPad I have had during this time. My family also does not experience this issue on any of their Apple devices, including my spouse, who has a M4 MBP. They are all on my Music subscription.

I have searched quite a bit over the years, and have seen dozens of posts on here and Apple Discussions. They have no responses or answers to this issue on all but one that suggested turning off lossless/Dolby, which I have tried. I submitted a ticket to Apple and had a remote session last year, but I cannot replicate the issue while in a remote session. Obviously I guess I could record my screen from my phone, but that seems like it would not lead to any resolution, especially given I am currently on MacOS 26b4. I don't really want to record my screen all day while playing Music.

Does anyone here have any suggestions on how to address this issue? I'm on the fence whether or not to go back to Spotify, as this is becoming a deal-breaker for me.
