That leather strap has done something to my wrist.

I’ve never had any kind of reaction before.

It looks worse than in the photo, and it’s itchy.

Looks like eczema to me.

Have you worn that strap before? Leather shouldn't cause a reaction like that but I will say as someone who collects traditional watches it looks like you have it too tight which over the length of day wouldn't bother you but once removed it's kind of itchy and raw. Give it a day and wear the watch a tad looser if you can to test it out.

Eczema is a chronic skin condition, you probably just have a simple rash.

I wore it for the first time.

It’s a medium, so doesn’t go any bigger.

I have over 70 watch straps, and I’ve never had a reaction.

I wore it for a few hours yesterday, then switched to a solo for sleep tracking.

Today I wore a BSL, because I thought it would let some air get to my wrist.

I’ve creamed my hands & wrist tonight, and am not wearing my watch to bed.

Hmm 🤔.

In the production of leather items there is chemical very poisonous stuff used, otherwise it would rott like dead meat. If it's brand new and get skin contact for a long time without cleaning it before this can't be good.

I would clean it carefully, maybe some of those chemicals are still on the leather and not only in it.

Or better return it and don't use leather at all.

I had modern buckles for my Apple Watch and never got any of that stuff on my wrist before.

I do wear it for sleep tracking but I switch to a sport band if I workout or go swimming

The tightness of the fit or lack of may also rub constantly and irritate your skin.

In my case, I had a major issue with the metal circle on the inside of the silicone loop strap. The metal always made a circle on my wrist that would blister and turn red. I ended up going to the woven metal strap with the magnetic adjuster and no problems.
