Uh... it looks more like a dog tick from this angle... American dog tick, Dermacentor variabilis. Hard to tell for sure unless you look at its mouthparts and ventrum under a scope, which pretty much any veterinary or medical lab can do for you if you care enough to submit it through your veterinarian.Deer tick. Bring it to the vet and they can test it.
