Isn't this weird? No idea why or how it happened...

I've had some bugs like that with calculator before, where the buttons appear to be all messed up.
Try minimising it and opening it back up, usually fixes it for me.
 
andysmith is right on -- minimizing will give you your buttons back.

I've also found that clicking the buttons where they should be will allow you to reveal them one at a time. You'll be stuck with brushed metal interstices, though ...
 
Lol - it's like a Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy calculator (or rather, the Restaurant at the End of the Universe calculator). It'll give you the answer, but not the question...

It truly is a Buddhist idea that "all things have the same flavor in the emptiness of inherent existence." So, no matter what input the user has, the calculator reminds you that it's all equal.
