Hey so my first time posting on here, I have owned a mac for nearly 6 years now , so not new to MacBooks but just looking for some advice there is an Early '08 MBP 17in, This computer was recently refurbished with a new logic board and power supply.

Processor: 2.5 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
Memory: 4 GB 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM
Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce 8600 GT 512 MB
Software: OS X 10.8.4
The hard drive was replaced a couple of years ago.
The hard drive is a 200GB 7200RPM drive.

It is listed for $600CAD, I know this is an older computer, but I still have an early '07 MacBook white that still is rock solid albeit obviously outdated and slow!

Just wondering if this is a decent option or if I should look for something else.

Stay far far away from any notebook that uses the 8600M. Even though the logic board was replaced, it will eventually fail again.

Look for something else, something newer.

Do you really want to spend $600CAD on a 5 year old laptop?
