Looking at purchasing a 17" MBP / 3.06. Graphics Question

Something happened today, that I didn't expect. I walked into an Apple reseller and fell head over heel's over an MBP 17".

I love the look, the specifications are perfect and it's portable which is a big plus. Just one thing is holding me back - I also like to play Sims 3, I'm concerned that the 9600M GT / 512MB may not be powerful enough to play?

If I can't play my Sims 3 on a MBP 17", really well - I'm probably going to settle for an iMac.

I don't play games but given what I've read here and other places the 9600m should be plenty powerful for that game.

9600m GT if anything is overpowered for TS3. 9400m can handle it fairly well.

you will have no problems playing the sims with the 9600M GT / 512MB...

as Sneakz said, the 9400m runs it well

i hear even the old macbook's GMA 950 will play it, lol
