Hi there
I got a 2 month old MBP (specs in my sig)
anyways - i usally end up spending between 3 hours and a maximum of 11 hours on the computer every day... usally i would guess it is 8-9 hours (with a couple of breaks inbetween - 6-7 hours looking at the screen)...
I mainly surf the web, watch stuff, play the occasional light game, and a lil bit of xcode..
I have been using laptop since I was 9 or 10 - At around 12-13 i started spending this much time. Now I am 15 and 3/4. Till now my eyes seem fine (thank god)
Before the MBP i had a Lenovo T61P, without a LED backlight...
So i'm wondering - any tips on how to minimize eye strain or w/e
as is right now i do look at the screen without glancing anywhere else for like 20 minutes sometimes...

as of the screen my best suggestion is to lower the brightness..as that is what i do and my head doesnt seem to hurt as much as when it is brighter...

What he said ^^^.

I keep mine down low as well. It makes the strain easier.

But always get in the habit of looking around the room. Focus on different things at different distances. That helps a lot. It keeps the eyes exercised and they tired less.
