Looking at the 12" for CS InDesign/Illustrator and Cockos Reaper

I do mostly simple print design that's all vector based.

In Reaper, I use only 8-16 tracks usually. Half audio tracks, half MIDI instruments.

The 12" MacBook is really appealing for its size and portability but mainly because there's no moving internal parts … no fan!

Every MacBook I've owned I had to eventually repair/replace the fan and I'm tired of the noise.

Its an ultrabook. This is not a pro replacement. This machine will do all of the task you want just not super fast or uber smooth.

I want to add i heart this machine. I just think it is 250 over priced. This should be a slightly cheaper machine. This what i do would serve me vastly better than any iPad

I agree that's it's way overpriced, but I'm still on an A1181 MacBook that's pretty smooth on Snow Leopard. It's ready to be taken out back and shot.
