Hi,

I have a work 16" MacBook Pro that I'm using with 2 LG 5k displays.

I use the same displays with my iMac Pro (Vega 64, 16 GB VRAM) and it keeps nice and quiet, but when I do that with the 16" MacBook Pro I'm using for work (5500M, 8 GB VRAM), the fans often go nuts. I also have a thunderbolt ethernet plugged in directly to the MacBook pro because the USB-hubs in the LG monitors aren't thunderbolt ports. (so I have 3 thunderbolt ports of the MacBook Pro in use).

I'm looking for some kind of docking station or something that I can ideally mount under the desk so I can mitigate the super loud fan noise of the 16" MacBook Pro, especially during zoom calls etc. Ideally, all connectors (3x thunderbolt) should be connected with a single click instead of having to connect all 3 dangling cables every time under the desk.

I think each 5k display needs to be on the ports on opposite sides of the macbook pro. Or else it will downscale to 4k if on same side 2 ports.

You can try the new owc thunderbolt dock. It's supposed to charge at full power. So it would be 2 ports on the macbook pro. 1 for 5k display. And 1 for dock where your 2md 5k display is. And it also powers the macbook thru the same tb cable.
