I'm looking for a browser that is able to download any file or play it if the iphone is capable after leaving me with the choice to do so. Also a browser with the ability to add adblocker and popup blocker, perhaps a browser with the ability to add future addons to it. The catch? It must be free. Yep. Free.

So what are macrumors' recommendations.

You can check out Dolphin browser, it's free. However, no browser on iOS will do everything that you want, and keep in mind all of the third party browsers on iOS are still based on the same webkit that Safari is.

Maven Web Browser was free for a limited time.
I use Opera or Atomic, but I use Safari the most.

I just downloaded Dolphin HD Browser merely minutes ago and I love this app! I'm having HUGE crashing issues with Safari in ios 5 with my iPad 1, so I had to find an alternative. Terra Browser also works well, and both of these are free.
Go ahead and check them out.

$0.99 is a lot of money these days...

Sad isn't it? When the App Store launched, I can remember people being amazed when a quality app was free, (and there was no such thing as freemium or ad based apps back then). Now people demand it.
