Yes this is another iPhone leather case thread. And this is an extension of the thread I posted here:

I was hoping that the dye bleeding issues with this Bullstrap case would improve over time, but it's still an ongoing issue. I'm looking for a case where the leather dye doesn't bleed all over the place with minimal exposure to Purell or alcohol-based hand sanitizer. I don't remember this being an issue with the leather iPhone case made by Apple. And this doesn't happen when I handle the steering wheel after using hand sanitizer. I don't know if it's a Bullstrap issue in general with the type of dye they use or maybe I was unlucky just got a bad version of it.

So looking for any recommendations for a leather case where the dye does not bleed or leak.

Try Ryan London. I personally have no issues with my Bullstrap but my husband uses Ryan London and it’s a nice case as well! Give them a shot! If I didn’t love my Bullstrap (I do) then that would be the brand I’d go with.

Hope this helps!

Sounds like you are using too much hand sanitizer or not rubbing your hands together long enough. Your hands should be dry afterwards, not greasy.

True, my hands may not be completely dry, with a little bit of hand sanitizer. But a leather product should be able to handle a little bit of hand sanitizer without the dye readily coming off. I'm thinking about the other leather products that I handle, such as a steering wheel, belt, wallet, and there are no issues. The Bullstrap case seems to be an outlier.

Ryan London may be the next step, but I've heard rumors that maybe Ryan London and Bullstrap are actually coming from the same manufacturer...or is that urban legend. If so, maybe they use different dyes?
