Looking for a Decent $300 Monitor

Pretty much exactly as the title says: I'm looking for a good monitor in the $200-$300 price range.

I'll mainly be using the monitor to do work in Excel and Word, do research, to watch movies and television online, and to surf the web. I'd like to have 1920x1080 resolution.

Connectivity wise: DVI and VGA are the most important, HDMI is a bonus.

Any tips and recommendations are greatly appreciated!
