I bought the Spigen Rugged Armor case for my iPhone XS and due to the center hole in the middle, it feels kind of awkward holding it. The center hole looks unprofessional to me.

I had the Apple leather case on my SE (first generation) for a long time now (4 years) and I don't notice any scratches, maybe a little dirt from my desk, but not that big of a deal.

If the Apple leather cases are better, then I can choose that. But I need help to decide which would be the best.

I have a XS Max and I bought the Apple leather case in black. It fits fantastic, looks and feels very premium (much better feel than anything plastic or TPU, IMO), the buttons are actually aluminum and are VERY clicky and nice to use--basically almost on par with a naked iPhone in terms of buttons. The bottom is exposed but tbh, the chances of messing up the bottom of your phone are slimmer than you think. Plus swiping up and doing gestures is a breeze with no lip on the bottom of the case.

The Spigen Rugged Armor is actually a nice case too though. I'd keep that as a back up in case you need to be in a place that your phone might get wet since water is bad for leather.

I've learned throughout the years to just buy the leather case first before any other case because I always regretted buying like 3-4 cases and to only end up sticking with the apple leather cases every. single. time.
