Hi I am looking for a program that can split video files (avi, xvid, wwm) fast...meaning no encoding. I have mkvnixtools for mkv files. I just need a movie split in 3 or 4 parts. I had plenty of programs that did it for windows, can't find anything for Lion. I used the Explicit Video splitter for SL, but that does not work in Lion since its a powerpc app. Any help would be great. A free program would be preferred. If the only items available are paid software then please let me know some as well. Thanks.

Try looking in Google

Try for something like 'free video splitter' in google, there is chance that you can easily avail something for free.

You can sort of do splitting by using either Quicktime (go to Edit and then Trim) or by using iMovie (again go to Edit and then Split Clip).

Admittedly, these are both Apple apps so might support all the formats you want.

I know the Xillisoft Video Spitter should do the job though, although you might have to pay depending on what you want it for.
