Just ordered my 13" MBP and now I need to decide on what external monitor I should get.

This is what I'm looking for: Under $300, LED preferably, 23", HDMI input,
1920 x1080.

Any recommendations?

Depends on what you'll be using it for.

Any type of photo or video editing requires a panel with more accurate colors, so you want to lean more towards high-end TN or IPS panels. Gaming requires lower refresh rates so you don't have ghosting. And then there's the inputs you'll need.

Need more info!

If you want more size and screen space, pick up one of those Hanns 28" 1920x1200 monitors for like $300. I've had one for almost two years now, works good. Colors aren't the greatest (though not bad at all) but for the price I paid, I don't really care!!

Nothing too special, I do NOT need an IPS panel. Just school work, light gaming, watching videos / movies.

28" would eat up all my desk space, but thanks for the recommendation :)
