I have an iBook for which I need to replace the HDD, I've searched high and low for a guide on this because I know it was never meant to be serviced by any other than apple support.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Also if you know any good places to recommend me finding a cheap HDD replacement I welcome any advice :)

Just as a warning: replacing the hard drive on an iBook is probably one of the most difficult tasks imaginable. It is easily one of the most complicated (and tedious) tasks to work on. There are easily 50 screws that need removal.

Good luck.
