I'm new to jailbreaking, and I'm having a hard time figuring out how to change the icons on my phone. Do I have to change them all, or can I just change the ones I want to? And how do I change them? Is there a video I can check out to see how it's done?

Thanks for the help.

i would suggest using winterboard its the simpliest way for a newbie, some people say winterboard slows down their phone but maybe that was on older phones because ive never noticed a problem on my iphone4

here is a great tutorial for learning

What OS are you on? I've noticed some icons do not change in Winterboard, since I've upgraded to 4.3.3 I've had to change them manually. In case you run into this problem you could do the same.

Step one: SSH.
SSH into your iPod, if you don't know how to do this there are plently of great guides to help you.

Step two: Locate the folder.
Find the folder that the files for the app you want to edit is in.

For apps that come with the firmware, such as music, videos, maps, etc., you'll find them in /<root>/Applications/.

For apps that you get from the App Store, you'll find them in /<root>/private/var/mobile/Applications/. The apps from the App Store are installed into folders with codes or something on them. For example, on my iPod the folder that holds Textfree is 20467433-7C5B-4233-92C6-7276A1424A71.
