I was going to buy a 24" ACD but have read quite a few reports of backlight bleeding, etc, so now I'm really unsure whether it's worth splashing out £528 on one, especially as my Samsung 23" TN screen has no backlight bleeding at all.

So, can anyone recommend a good 23"-24" glossy screen? At the moment, I don't mind suggestions of either TN, IPS, etc, just chuck in your suggestions.

Thanks

I have the Dell - SP2309W. It's a fantastic monitor on the cheap. The reason I bought it is that I wanted to duplicate the functionality of the ACD as much as possible and this guy has a built in web cam and USB hub. Buy this and iUSB cam for $10 and you're good to go.

The resolution is 2048 x 1152 which I was a little leery of before purchase, but I really like it. I have good vision so I like high pixel density. I can fit two full size Safari pages next to each other on the desktop; it makes for high productivity.

Plus, the picture is amazing, and yes, it's glossy, but not glass. This makes for a happy medium between colors popping and less glare.

Just as a sort of side note, would I be better going for a 1920 x 1080 or 1920 x 1200 display?

get the new hp 2709m its just like the other two hp displays but its 27 inch!

As I'm eventually looking to have 2 displays for a dual display setup, I couldn't have 2 27" screens on my desk :p but thanks for the suggestion.
