I'm looking to get a new monitor to use with my MacBook Pro on my desktop. I'm looking for 24" or larger, and I'm looking to spend no more than $200 (which pretty much limits me to 24" I guess). I've been looking on Amazon a lot, but I'm just not sure what's good and what's not. What are you guys using? Any suggestions? And are there any awesome deals to be had out there anywhere? Thanks.

I looked at some at Microcenter recently. They had some Acers that looked really good. And anything NEC seems to be nice. They're usually a bit more but you may find something in that range.

You should be able to find a dell ultrasharp in that range, I had the Asus VH242H which a lot of ppl rave about but it was really poor, TN panels aren't that great. I've since sold the Asus and bought a BenQ VA panel 27" screen and it's MILES better, if you could find the equivalent 24" monitor I'd say go for that!

(short google returns...)

Ta-da, if you can find one of these then it's your best bet.

Scratch that, bad reviews.

Rather see if you can find BenQ VW2420H

Most reviews say best for viewing angles and colours

Thanks for the suggestions guys. I wound up picking this one up, HP 2511x, for $197 shipped to my door. 25" and great reviews at both Amazon and Newegg. Also has a nice slim profile.
ACCS73419 is the coupon code if anyone is interested. Saved $45 on this monitor and it also works on some of their other ones too. The discount varies, but it's up to $60 off the 27" one. They've got some nice deals going on right now.
