Looking for a program that lets me adjust the positions of homescreen icons

So i use a htc widget on my homescreen icons, and i feel the icons could be closer together, not by width, but by height, is there a progam that lets me make the gap between each row of icons smaller?

GridLock lets you put the icons wherever you want on the page, but I don't know of an app that lets you do what you're talking about.

If jailbroken...Shrink allows you to resize your icons to numerous sizes.
