hi all,

I know this is probably something that most of you will think "That's just silly who needs that nonsense" but apparently in a house of 4 cats with multiple litter boxes, inevitably the rear of my device gets crap inside it and scratches it.

For the first month or so I'm always good about removing my phone and wiping it down but as we all know, new tech becomes old and we don't baby it as much.

In the past I've always been able to find a back film protector, but I'm struggling as I live in Canada, right now the only options are the Rhinoshield Backskin, but shipping really kills it since I'm not buying a Rhinoshield case - which if they ONLY had magsafe cases.. Sigh.

Thanks in advance, looking forward to hearing some good options. I have been thinking about the liquid protector, especially considering that it doesn't need to be perfect

I’m curious, could you post an image of the issue by chance? I have four cats in the house as well and that doesn’t affect my iPhone the slightest.

Are you by chance suffering from too much dust from using a more affordable cat litter?

You have the iPhone in some kind of case and stuff get’s inside?

EDIT: you can use a skin on the backside like e.g. dBrand offers them.

I can’t sadly. It could actually be from our old POS tear down house that had horrific airflow that got a lot of dust in between our phones and our cases, but I know for sure my OG XS max had some thick pock marks in the back, and the back screen protector on my applecare replacement did have scuffs in our newer house, so I figure better safe than sorry. Might just be the southwest coast of Bc is a bit more dusty? Or just the way we live? Who knows.

As for the other suggestions it seems a skin issue the best option. Some are just so bloody expensive when all I need is a plastic protector. For now I’ll just clean my phone daily and maybe just bite for a skin.

Thanks!

Another to try is XrremeSkins. Or get yourself a rear glass protector. There are quite a few at Amazon.

I too have 2 cats at home and I don't leave my phone to them, try the Gadgetshieldz screen protector which I'm using for a while now. It is a liquid screen protector and I don't get scratches often because of the self-healing feature added in this protector which heals 90% of the scratches.
