I got a Belkin screen protector day one of owning my max. I keep cracking it, 3 times so far in the past 2 months. Belkin is really good about sending me a new protector each time but I am not sure how many more they will continue to send me. I have no idea how it keeps happening. They all crack along the edge. I have not dropped my phone. I was using a bandolier case and I cracked the Belkin screen protector twice within a week in the exact same place, where the buttons were not protected. I got the new Apple battery case last week and I just noticed that my protector is cracked again. Can someone please recommend one that does not crack as easy. I have had Zagg's on past phones and they always crack too.

Glass doesn't crack on its own if it hasn't been subjected to thermal stress/shock, torsional/bending stress, or physical impact.

The cracks in those pictures originated from impacts, causing chips in the glass, and subsequent cracking from stress concentration originating from the nick or chip.

I've encountered that situation once, after banging the edge of a dinner plate against an iPad and chipping its protector, which eventually lead to a simple stress crack. The ones pictured look more like a bullseye on a windshield.

Fair to say that no screen protector will resist cracking if they're subjected to impacts, especially given that they're inherently thin.

I agree, that I must have bumped it against something or something inside my purse knocked against it. It just seems like they chip/crack really easy. Was looking for something that might be a little more chip resistant.
