Being Caudabe fan, I had to try out the minimalist Veil case. Loved everything about it except the button feedback. It was enough to make me send it back and return to my usual Sheath case. On the Veil, it felt like I had to almost use my fingernail to push the buttons… or if I just used the pad of my finger, it would require an annoying amount of pressure. Definitely not “clicky” - not even close.

Can anyone recommend a case very similar to the Caudabe Veil that actually has good tactile button feedback? I think the problem is, the Veil simply has button cutouts rather than covered buttons - which doesn’t make for a clicky/tactile user experience because you’re trying to push your finger into a small cutout area. So I guess what I need is a minimalist case that has covered buttons 😄.

Thank you!

In my opinion, ultra thin cases that are made from rigid materials (usually aramid fiber, aka Kevlar) and have full cutouts around the buttons are better than the flimsy TPU cases with small cutouts like the Veil, Totallee, Peel, et al. I’d suggest checking out the Pitaka Ultra-Slim and Tactile Woven, or the Benks ArmorAir. The Benks are less expensive, but I find the Pitaka to be slightly more refined with more consistent quality control. Both are good brands for these types of cases.

I’ll check those out, thanks!
