Looking for a timer widget/app that counts UP.

The title pretty much says it all, I'm looking for a little piece of software that will allow me to check exactly howmuch time has passed since a specific events, preferably in hours, days, weeks and months, anything extra (minutes and seconds) would be nice as well, but not necessary. I tried all sorts of google search terms without any decent results, so here I am.

Thanks for the effort, unfortunately I don't know how to get the second widget to work, and the first one doesn't really do what I want it to do.

I'm looking for something like this:

or this: http://www.widgetbox.com/widget/countuptimer (a Java script-like thing that I don't know how to work with either)

but in some sort of application or widget-like form.
