hi guys

I'm about to purchase an ssd card for my late 2011 macbook pro (the non-retina version), in order to run sierra faster than my sata drive. I did a little research and liked this nifty mini drive adaptor that perfectly fits to the sd card slot so I'm thinking of buying the following:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/MiniDrive-Pro-Adaptor-Expansion-NON-RETINA/dp/B017HOBQDQ
http://www.amazon.co.uk/d/Memory-Cards/SanDisk-Ultra-MicroSDXC-Class-Memory/B00V62XBQQ

Am I going to notice a change of speed? any other better and easy sd card option in europe?

cheerz!

No, these SD cards are more or less slow (90MB/s) as a normal spinning 7200RPM hard drive.

Why don't you buy an internal SATA SSD?

Btw. These SDCards are not SSD Harddisks, in case you are mixing things up.

No you are on the wrong track. You need to replacement the drive in your Mac within an SSD, an sd card is not that.

You need something like this

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Crucial-MX...?ie=UTF8&qid=1478856534&sr=8-2&keywords=Mx300

Or this

https://www.amazon.co.uk/d/External...F8&qid=1478856595&sr=8-4&keywords=Samsung+evo

And this will tell you what to do and what screwdrivers you need.
