Looking for advise on HD camcorder for AppleTV

I'm on the market for a HD camcorder, my main requirement are that:

1 - good portability
2 - Tapeless
3 - HD (dont need 1080 as will be used with a AppleTV)
4 - Good Mac / AppleTV integration

Basically, I want the best quality that AppleTV can deliver.

I was looking around and found the Sanyo Xacti 1010, it ticked all the boxes and I loved the hand help format, but now it seems they have a 2000 model coming out (not sure on the differences), the 1010 from what I hear has a bit of a image stabilization problem ?, so I am looking for more advise, my budget would be around the £500 quid mark.

I have to be honest and say i dont know much about consumer camcorders but have heard numerous people raving about the Canon HF100. I've used JVC Everio cameras before and they are brilliant with an inbuilt HDD for what you want. Not sure if they do HD versions though.

My advice is to go look at the £700 cameras in Dixons and PC World, then buy the same model online for £450 odd. That way you can test it before you buy it!
