So I am researching which HDD I want to put into my unibody macbook. I've pretty much narrowed it down to the WD 320gb 7200 drive, or the Hitachi 500gb 7200 drive. Also possibly considering a Seagate 320/7200 drive. I'm really leaning towards Hitachi, hence the thread title.

My main concerns are:

Quiet/no crazy vibrations
Reliability
Not too hot
Low power consumption.

Am I good with the Hitachi? Or should I be focusing on one of the others?

Are my expectations too high for a 7200 drive? Or should I stick with a WD blue 5400 drive?

Thanks!

i got the seagate 500gb 7200.4

it doesnt vibrate much, runs just as cool as my old 5400 hd, and it only takes up a tiny more power than my old 5400. the hitachi is close but actually consumes more power at seek/read/write. also in a real world test the momentus beat the hitachi in almost every single aspect. i can find the article if your interested.
