Hey guys!
I'm looking to buy my first mac, I live in a country where the prices are quite high compared to the u.s, but I get free 3 year guaranty.
I'm going to study cinema and I will most probably need to edit videos on the mac. other than that I want to play a few video games on it, and just have fun with it!

I have a really special offer for the Late 2011 Macbook pro 15 inch (basic model), I can get it in about 1730 dollars (tax included). Or I can get the new 2012 model (also basic, not retina) in about 2060 dollars (Tax included).
So as you see there is about 250 dollar difference between the models.

My question to you guys is what you think? Should I get the special priced 2011 or the new 2012 model? I'm having a real hard time deciding myself, and I need an advice.

Thanks!

The difference is mostly the faster graphics card and USB3.
Everything else is very minor.

Do you need those two features?

right now I dont have any USB 3 device at all. Not sure if Ill need one in the near future.
Faster graphics are always welcomed, the faster the computer is, the better. But I'm not sure if the price difference is worthy.
