Photo Booth is fine, except one big flaw. If the application loses focus, the recording stops. So, it becomes pretty useless for video podcasting and such in the event that you want to dig up some information mid recording; which I often do. I know that there are a number of browser based applications but in my experience they're not very stable, often have time limits and have a tendency to kill the whole recording when it's over. So I'm really interested in a desktop app.

So, does anyone know another application to do this other than Photo Booth, preferably open source?

Wirelessly posted (iPhone: Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 3_0 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/528.18 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0 Mobile/7A341 Safari/528.16)

Use iMovie? It's a bit
more complex, sure, but even with the built in camera it gives me a better looking recording. Just open iMovie, right click on the sources and click capture from camera. Then select buitl in iSight. Works great :)

Wow, thanks! That's perfect. I didn't even know imovie would do that.
