Hey guys,
in regards to the title I've already found an application that'll do the job or so I though until I tried to open it and I was greeted by the message "cannot be run on this system because the architecture is unsupported" (even though on the Macupdate site it says that it is PowerPC compatible → "Related Links
IP Scanner 3.30+ (OS X 10.4-10.6, Intel32/PPC32)"

Link: https://www.macupdate.com/app/mac/15326/ip-scanner

Does anybody in here have a working PowerPC compatible version of this app or an alternative?

Thanks!

Did you download version 3.0 in the link you posted?

If you downloaded from the main link that would be version 3.84 which is OS X 10.7 minimum.

In any case, I use WakeOnLAN.

EDIT: I downloaded the second link. Turns out that version is 3.30 and not 3.0. So, MacUpdate has provided an incorrect link. I'm sure you could probably find a 3.0 version by Google Search or the Internet Wayback Machine if the dev's website is no longer there.

Checking the Wayback Machine, only version 3.18 has been archived which is also x86-only.

Ok guys so I found an old version of IP Scanner on the Usenet that works with PowerPC . The version is 2.50 and from 2010. I attached the file just in case someone is interested. I'll still keep looking for Version 3.00 though ;-)

On the off chance you're still looking for it, IP Scanner v3.0 can be downloaded from 10base-t.com for free here https://10base-t.com/direct/ specifically: IP Scanner 3.0
