Looking for an application / script that can do this to photos.

I have loads of old work photos, that I no longer need at their original size, but would like to keep in a smaller size.


I'd like a way to reduce the size of all photos in a folder ( and subfolders within ), to a set size.

So I could drag and drop the folder and hey presto all pics within go from say 3 mb, down to 500k ( would be nice if I can specify final size ).

Is there an app or script that can do this?

You could use Automator.

There is an Automator action called "Scale Images". It will rescale (resize) pictures it processes.

Or search the internet for someone who's already done this. Suggested search terms:
automator scale images
